Industrial Network

Ecoship - an industrial network with competence to meet the demands of tomorrows ship design

Ecoship Engeneering AB (EEAB) - is the coordinator of the Ecoship technology development. Since 1996 several studies have been made on the Ecoship concept, including design and tests of container, oil tankers and Ro Ro vessels. EEAB has also developed a model for operation cost analysis and environmental impact using Ecoship vessels. The latest development is for a new Short Sea Oil Product Tanker Ship in the range of 6 000 - 16 000 dwt with focus on high cargo capacity, redundancy and environmentally safe design.

Ecoship Engineering takes full advantage of the vast knowledge, experience and resources available to its partners:

FKAB Mattsson Gruppen - leading in over-all ship design and project management.

Ocke Mannerfelt Design AB - specialists in energy optimised hull design as well as virtual ship models and operation analysis programs.

EMC, Europe Marine Control B.V. - specialist in diesel-electric propulsion drive systems, electrical engineering, power management, automation and bridge systems

Callenberg Electro AB / Callenberg Fläkt Marine AB - ship electrical, automation and HVAC technologies

IUC Skåne AB - Centre of Industrial development with venture capital and a vast network of industrial technology.

All project development and design includes the above companies and is done in close consultation with the Swedish National Administration of Navigation and Shipping and Det Norske Veritas.
